Delivery at Terminal

In the form of DAT delivery, the seller, ie the exporter company, organizes the loading, inland transportation, port loading and shipment processes in the port, and the cargo shall be at the customs point specified by the buyer at the customs point of the buyer, in the importer's country. completes the operation to be delivered.

For example, the contract or the pro forma invoice delivery term: "DAT Rotterdam Train Station" as is specified, an exporting company located in Istanbul, Turkey, the burden imposed on trucks in Istanbul, namely the discharge address the Rotterdam importer company stated, "Rotterdam Train Station" address to load until it reaches the buyer's country and is responsible for all processes except for customs clearance and tax payments.

What is the Difference between DAP and DAT

Common aspects of the DAP and DAT delivery are that both deliveries take place at the destination. In addition, all costs to be paid to the destination, except for customs duties and local taxes, are the seller's responsibility. The difference between the DAP and the DAT is that the goods are shipped from the transport vehicle according to the DAT delivery method, ie the seller has to bear the costs for the lowering of the load.

For example, if a forklift is hired to lower the load, it must be organized by the seller or pay the cost. If the DAP is in the form of delivery, the transportation vehicle reaches the specified address but it is the responsibility of the buyer, ie the importer, to lower the load from the vehicle.

DAT Delivery Term Insurance Obligation

In the form of DAT transport, insurance is the buyer's obligation. Buyer's insurance covering the inland transportation, international shipment and also inland transportation at destination country. The insurance obligation finish when the goods reach to detination point.

Normally seller companies add their profit share according to exw price, when they add all these other costs the DAT price is clear.

DAT Price Account: Product cost + profit share + packaging costs + loading in factory + inland transportation + port charges + customs expenses + freight cost + unloading expenses + inland port charges (if agreed) transportation at destination country
